Gianesini has been appointed co-Director of the Global Care Vein Clinic Institute in Abu Dhabi, as well as Academic Projects advisor for the associated hospital. Gianesini will nonetheless remain in academic and clinical service in Italy, combining consultations, procedures and targeted educational meetings in Abu Dhabi.
