On 13 October, Gianesini was invited, as president of the World Union of Phlebology, to deliver a lecture at the annual congress of the Uzbekistan Venous Forum. The subject of the lecture was the scientific analysis of laser, radiofrequency, glue and MOCA techniques for the treatment of varicose veins.
